Plac was a sweet cat, who liked warm spots & sunlight, soft things & boxes - ordinary enough, I thought.

Until I walked in to find her floating above the wood stove, curled into a perfect cinnamon bun, just far enough above the stove to be safe from any threat of burning.

Until she delivered a mouse-thing to me, a rodent-ish that glowed in the dark, with 4 eyes & two tails.

In the Cyber era and for a least 2 centuries before that, yes - it's taught in schools alongside basic math & language. With cybernetic implants and prosthetics and implants abounding, although not ubiquitous- think cell phone ownership in 2008, versus cell phone ownership in 2020 - many people know enough to troubleshoot their own devices.
In addition to that, there's technomancy!

I've been thinking of writing my own calendar of prompts for February similar to the #WIPWorldBuilders I've been doing here but for the Fediverse.

They'd probably be #Worldbuilding / #Conlanging prompts.

What do #Writing #AmWriting people think? Could I get anyone to play along?
