DBA: fixing problems you didn't know you had in ways you can't understand.
@arrowdrive @leemarkum yeah it was definitely frustrating. Business only cares about new development for new products, no time for tech debt. As a result everything was just bandaid after bandaid. Not everyorg is like this, but many are.
@leemarkum my last job as a DBA felt like 70% firefighting, 20% maintenance, 10% new dev/improvements.
