@mikemccaffrey who did you use for your chimney restoration?
On “I put pixels in their place” hiatus. Recovering front-end web developer. You might find me in the garden or staring at a bird.

omg we have an odor code?! I can think of several infractions that are not racially motivated like this, such as neighbors who do not pick up the dog shit in their backyard in the heat of summer, talk about odor

Spent three hours in the yard, completely lost track of time. It was so nice out there today.
Might have found a good new YouTube channel to subscribe to. Appears to be (mostly?) a father and daughter which is also my hiking history when we weren’t with my cousins and uncles.
I was just looking at photos from January and I could really do without snow and especially without ice this season.
Anyone else absolutely addicted to these?
I don't know what I would do if they ever stopped making them.
@intrepidhero I wonder if there is a Chinook or Salish (or other) word for these places, the always damp and harboring secrets, “don’t stay long” places. They make their own sounds, kinda creaky and drippy.
I retract my concern: https://mstdn.ca/@ingalls/113601809968781125
A little funny watching a steady stream of boats skedaddle out of the harbor now.
Like, longer than I am willing to wait for anything in Portland.
I have eaten at a very good restaurant at the Crescent City harbor. I do not recall the name. The wait was ridiculous.
@ingalls oh good call, I just posted that I was worried they were heading out, but it is a steady stream of boats now
A little concerned that there appear to be boats heading *out* right now.
@ingalls Holy cow what a serene scene it is right now.
@downriver Hope you and yours are in a safe place!
@mikemccaffrey that’s what you get for going to Hawaii and coming back home
I remember when I went to Puerto Rico years ago I left in early September and when I got back two weeks later the season had completely changed and I was cold all fall and winter.
The wind patterns over the North Pacific look wild right now.
@downriver what a gorgeous day!
Got up on a ladder and cleared giant magnolia leaves off my patio cover today. This is the first year the tree is large enough to drop leaves entirely on the patio cover. How time flies. I planted the magnolia 12 years ago.
Also, every time I witness what cars become under capitalism (shells that barely run and barely protect the inhabitants who rely on them) it makes me laugh at the supposed apocalyptic souped up cars in the Mad Max franchise.
