Florian Apolloner

Dabbling in many things. Mostly Ops and Python stuff.

@theskumar what is the baseline you were comparing to? Sounds like you didn't enable persistent connections before. In general I would recommend persistent connections, also the recommendation of setting max_size the concurrent users / 10 is imo not something that works. A max_size of 10 is usually enough for plenty. More connections often even makes things slower.

@adamchainz @acdha Podman works great imo. Even supports compose nowadays. Usually compatible enough unless you rely on fancy networking behavior.

@DjangoTricks is the performance gain a result of upgrading Django, PostgreSQL or both? Or can't you tell because you upgraded both at the same time. Wonder what improved here by so much.

@be_haki thanks, found them in slack. Would love to do a talk but I am not a good speaker and usually don't know what I should talk about 🙈

@be_haki I am but usually don't use slack. Thank you will find it there. Also A+ article about PostgreSQL and "get or create" on your blog.

@be_haki hi, are the slides for your Djangocon Europe talk available somewhere?

@carlton @djangoconeurope safe journey 🤗 and I think the ticket is cheaper if you buy online.

@thibaudcolas I think the link to the dataset might be broken?

@hynek so this is the famous wireless cable? I am so sorry, but I really couldn't resist 🙈

@nebucatnetzer @svij @encbladexp Borg 2.0 fixt das allerdings.

Florian Apollonerapollo13@chaos.social
2025-02-02

@LucidDan @coderanger last time I checked hypercorn read the whole request body into memory. Not something you want for big file uploads 😂
