Hated the guy as a kid but recognized that he was the closest thing to someone like me in the #WWF (not ideal since he was a heel). He was required watching, whether he was in the ring or cutting a promo as he felt more ‘real’ than most wrestlers.

He’s also a textbook case for pro wrestlers needing a union, healthcare, and retirement because his slew of injuries made old age painful & difficult.

This is resonating with me this morning as I research building an #apparel company (‘brand’ makes me vomit) and #designing #merch. More specifically: what kind of merch I want to make.

I am not a fan of the ‘learn & follow trends’ advice for selling merch. I can’t relate to it and I’ve abhorred being ‘trendy’ for decades because it’s dependent on external judgement.

I’m looking at all the artists I love, seeing the (obvious) commonalities between them, and working on improving specific skills & techniques.

This might be an unpopular opinion here but it cuts close to me living the way I do and seeing how helpless so many people are when they don't have electricity or energy for even a short time.
The vast majority of humans don't need their lives run by machines that are programmed by a tiny number of humans that know how to do it. I don't think A.I. will kill us (at least not on it's own) but I don't believe that in general, A.I. is good for human development, knowledge, education and skills. What else will we lose when we depend on machines? Look at how many skills humans have lost even now with the tech we have: memory and memorization; reading maps and following directions; handwriting, both printing and cursive; using books for research; patience and stillness; all the personal everyday life skills... the list goes on and on. I shudder to think how dumbed down humanity will get if we allow machines to do everything that the tech world can think up.
And not only that, how do we know the intention and ethics, or proficiency of the programmers? Some are scared to death of a vaccine but will put all of their trust in some stranger that doesn't even need to prove their education to program something that can be life or death for them.
