@voron Yes, they don’t always know best regarding the medical aspects, but they do regarding their anamnesis-barring written medical reports, but there is seldomly reason to change around their prescribed meds without analysis. We have an official “prescribed medicines list” for patients to carry for this reason, so that things like that happen less. Withdrawal can be devastating for some meds, like cortison!

@voron I totally understand that. It’s what we teach here in Germany. The patient knows best. If they are telling you that this formulation of the medicine is not good for them, just listen. You’ve known them for, like, two seconds. They’re the expert on themselves ffs!

@voron That’s horrible! I am very sorry that happened to you, things like that should not happen, it is known that you can’t just change a patient’s meds, not everything is freely exchangeable!
