Opportunists have turned a genocidal war in #Ukraine into a grifting and recruiting space. One example being Matthew Heimbach attending Rage Against the War Machine with anti-war, anti-imperialist literature 2:49:00 mark.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rlI35JIPR8Y&t=2047s
The signs and literature Heimbach had read “We won’t fight a rich man’s war” and “No more American imperialism.”
Matthew Heimbach is a white supremacist who started the Traditionalist Workers Party. So why would he be at a supposed anti-war protest handing out anti-imperialist literature?
The easy answer is that RATWM wasn’t an anti-war protest at all but instead an event organized by grifters such as Nick Brana of a MPP or simply Peoples party and reactionary Libertarians associated with the Mises Caucus.https://www.thedailybeast.com/libertarian-party-is-fighting-a-civil-war-over-its-right-wing-mises-caucus However, it goes much deeper than that. While there is money to be made and clout to be gained by jumping on the pro-Russian propaganda train it seems Heimbach has had ideological reasons as well. Attached is an image of Heimbach in-front of a Russian separatist flag. Without the aid of Russian special forces and “volunteers” the pro-Russian factions of separatists would not have succeeded. Many of these groups were ultranationalist radicals and the concept of Novorossiya itself was a blend of ethno-state, Russian imperialism and chauvinism. This is why Heimbach met with representatives from the white supremacist, terrorist organization “Russian Imperial Movement.” The attached picture is from the organization’s socials.Russian Imperial Movement had paramilitaries in Donbas a few months into the pro-Russian separatist activities (Russian Spring) At the 1:29:34 mark is a translated post from Russian Imperial Movement explaining how they “started the war” in Donbas https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rlI35JIPR8Y&t=2047s
The Russian Imperial Movement is the first foreign white supremacist entity labeled a terrorist organization by the U.S.

The group had been active in promoting instability and separatism in Ukraine dating back to the early 2000’s time stamp 33:58.
Ppl like Heimbach not only seek the money and clout like YouTubers Jimmy Dore or Jackson Hinkle want. For him there is far-right, reactionary ideological consistency in supporting “Novorossiya” which is at its heart a chauvinist and imperialism.
This of course comes in the guise of anti-capitalist, anti-war and anti-imperialist propaganda as does much of the misinformation about #UkraineRussiaWar by those like Code Pink, GrayZone and associated grifters/opportunists
