Book Café Almindelig Brand (Baldersgade 70, Copenhagen) is open every Thursday between 16 and 18. We sell a mish mash of books – some we stumble upon, some we buy especially to read together – and prints too.
We just got some copies of the gay communist Pinko magazine (1–3) as well as the Manifesto of the collective behind the magazine. Come and get yours!
You can also find them – and us, of course, with many other interesting titles – on the Radical Reading Festival @folketshus on September 5 & 6.

BCAB is delighted to invite you to a talk by the Pinko collective on their recent book After Accountability, an oral history of practices of transformative justice.
One of the members of Pinko, Max Fox, will be at @folketshus to tell us a little about the history of accountability and of the interviews that make up the book, as well as of the potentials and limits of accountability to abolitionist practices within revolutionary communities.

The presentation of the publication will serve as a warm-up for the continuation of this conversation with friends in Copenhagen.
The publication will be available at the event for a suggested donation of 10e.
The publication evolved out of a conversation on nationalism with comrades across Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark and the United Kingdom. It can be seen as an effort to cultivate strategies for our unbelonging to nation-states and the very grammars of modern politics through autonomous linguistic and social practices—practices that hold the potential to subvert and destabilize our vicious entanglement in ever developing configurations of the “People.”
PUBLICATION LAUNCH AND CONVERSATION w/ Dabartis
Join us for a launch of Languages and Peoples, a collaboration between Dabartis from Vilnius and Nieczytelne from Wrocław, that features a multi-language (RU, PL, LT, EN) translation of an essay by philosopher Giorgio Agamben, accompanied by their collectively written response.

Litteratursstryrelse anbefaler at danskerne skal være forberedt til læsningskriser både i hjemme og på ferie. I morgen, torsdag, holder vi åbent fra 16 til 18 med mange specialtilbud, så der er en god mulighed for at preppe bøger til hjemmeberedskabet.
Tidsskriftet Brud holder release på deres nyeste nummer om Palæstina. Man vil kunne få sig et blad og der vil være oplæsninger af bladets bidragsydere. Vi glæder os meget!
Vi har lige modtaget en ny bunke bøger bl.a. Looting, en samtale mellem Saidiya Hartman, Christina Sharpe og Rinaldo Walcott, og antologien Paths to Autonomy udgivet af Lost Property Press.
Derudover har vi den nye danske udgave af Jakob Jakobsens Ramallah Lecture, en fin oversættelse af David Lloyd og et kapitel fra Everything for Everyone, 'On Liberating the Levant', i broadsheet-format.
