I'm also sobered to remember those we lost on the way. I went to my first demonstrations / social action on LGBTQ issues 30 years ago in the Ohlone Miwok Bay Area and many siblings I met in that community didn't make it to last year. I lift up those we lost who made this future possible. May we living today be worthy of their legacy.
