@RickiTarr Elon cones back tail between his legs. Pathetic.
Interested in electrical and electronic engineering topics, making stuff and also the history behind inventions. Saw a good video series recently on recovering Teletext and Ceefax pages from VHS home cideo tapes.
Favourite YouTube channels are Usagi Electric and Nostalgia Nerd, amongst others.
I do Solidworks CAD and 3D printing, and I'm surprised how useful i find it as i just bought one to see what i could do after a friend bought one.

AI is making us lazy and dumber.
I think in see this at work where the younger people coming in just dont seem to have problem solving skills or initiative, or patience. If they can't sort something out in a couple of minutes, they throw a temper tantrum. They're young adults but seem like children in their behaviour.

@3dcandy @kasperd @TechConnectify sometimes you can find some gems still.
@3dcandy @kasperd @TechConnectify i was going to rip them but i dound it takes too long. Me and the wife have about 350 dvd's between us.
@kasperd @3dcandy @TechConnectify you can always buy from charity / thrift shops though.
I'm not getting rid of our vast collection any time soon as im sick of streaming sites ads creeping in, tge ads getting longer and having to pay extra on top of your monthly subscriptions.
@TechConnectify Hi. I just watched your video about how algorithms have broken the way we think (or dont).
Reminded me of the Gary Larson amoeba cartoon.
I see evidence of what you describe at my workplace in the younger people coming into the industry (rail maintenance).
They dont like learning new tasks. They dont have any curiosity. They get angry really quickly if they can't master something they are shown in less than a few minutes and give up expecting someone else to do it. Weirdos!
