I don’t own harsh cold weather gear.
I don’t know how to adequately dress for this.
I think I’ll stay inside.

Ok ok how about a cozy resource management game where the game mechanic is that you have a bunch of wombats and you’re trying to build things and you have to feed the wombats different foods so that they poop different kinds of resource cubes that you use to build things
It’s called shitting bricks
Texas power grid is about to get stressed.
Again.
I have my bedroom prepared to be powered by my car, if needed. Because, so far as I know, Texas treated 2021 as a rare event and did nothing to prepare for the next freeze.

Wait, am I also a CatSalad?
Finished that documentation rework and update. A lot more changes needed than I expected.
And now it's in a position to start adding quite a bit more to it.
@waffles This is among the reasons I still tether myself to email services for my personal domain. I still get filtered with some really aggressive business filtering, it appears, which is why communication with some recruiters has been hit or miss. I might rethink my hosting once I get stable employment again.
I just learned of the existence of CagriSema, a combination of an Amylin analog and GLP-1.
I've long lost the appetite suppression from GLP-1 drugs, having been on one or another for over a decade at this point. In fact, I've had some appetite problems resulting in hunger pain while working to adhere to my diet.
I might ask my endo about this. It's been submitted for FDA approval for weight loss, not diabetes management, though.
@lizzierose He's made it known he supports law enforcement in the past before all this nonsense. Just didn't think he'd go out of his way to be a bootlicker.
this is what they mean when they say it's "cold as a witch's tits"
Obviously DHS enforcers don't care about lock picking tools. They'd rather use battering rams and guns.
But this is LPL and his company CI announcing support for this and other agencies at a time where doing so makes it clear they are okay with what's going on, support them, and believe they deserve to pay less than other people for their products.
And that's disgusting.
I have a couple of products from Covert Instruments (LockPickingLawyer's brand of tools) so I get their newsletter.
They've announced a program to give discounts to military, government agencies, law enforcement, and so on.
Yes, that will include DHS and its enforcers breaking into homes and kidnapping people, including kids.
Time to unsub from LPL and mark this as spam.
I still like my Sparrows tools. Hopefully they're not problematic. They're Canadian, but who knows.
Well, ran into another thing I don't like about Coddy.
They have free access, with limited "energy". The limit is pretty tight. This is to encourage getting unlimited "energy" by paying.
Figured I'd try the free version for a bit and if I can get into it, and want more out of it, barring the mistakes, I might pay for it.
Well, free isn't actually free. It's ads. It just threw an ad at me. Fullscreen with a timer before I can dismiss it.
I do not recommend Coddy.
nonbinary people do not owe anyone androgyny
trans women do not owe others the performance of femininity, or the adherence to white supremacist patriarchal standards
trans men do not owe anyone a performance of masculinity either.
Demanding performance and aesthetics is bullshit
Absolutely nailed the manager interview. He even told me as such. In fact, it felt like he was holding back "you're hired" at the end.
Now the wait for a decision.
@VTDARKSIM I used to use Nabu Casa, but opted to switch to Tailscale, personally.
I think the wording of the problems would be improved with:
"Find the line that will print the enclosed string"
"In Python, in order to show the string enclosed in print(), it must be enclosed in quotation marks."
In both cases, the answer would not change.
