@tjdraper the only thing i ever had that used firewire was my ipod, and i assume it just sucked on windows and linux because there was never a big difference for me. this was back when you could easily hack the ipod to be an external hdd. mostly was using it to smuggle data in and out of the high school.

@Crell yeah ive been rolling things into iterable typehints. though not for the reasons you specify so much since we already only really used array for flat listings only. motivation here was mostly just being so tired of the inconsistent array functions wanting to migrate to our datastore object instead.
