Coming up: Our very first Gear Swap!
Hey everyone! Your Events Captain here. I am happy to tell you that, after 3 years, we finally have our very first Gear Swap. This is probably the most requested event over the years our desk has been collecting feedback, and we are finally trialing it on May 24th – making sure you are ready for London Pride, Fetish Week London, and all the fun summer offers!
Our Gear Swap will take place at Central Station. The venue is street level and has a ramp for access, and though there is a wider toiler cubicle – please note that there is no dedicated accessible toilet facility on the premises. Music volume is expected to be very low, with no flashing lights.
It is also worth noting that there will be a designated area to change, but no private booths. We will start at 1 PM and go until 5Pm – so come, bring gear you’d like to get rid of, or just come looking for a bargain!
This event will be cash only – so please bring your notes and coins!
Planning to sell items? Here are the important bits to consider:
- As mentioned, the event will be cash only. It is therefore recommended to bring notes and coins, and a bumbag would be a good idea (for once in the history of fashion)!
- Gear only please – no sex toys, or anything that goes inside the human body.
- The items you bring should be clean and ready to wear.
- Please price your items in multiples of £5 – to make sure you can give and take money more easily. It is worth taking into consideration that 10% of the total income from the gear you sell will be donated to our Charity Partner, Micro Rainbow.
- You will be running your own money, so make a note on your phone of everything you’ve sold – or bring a piece of paper and a pen.
- When you’re ready to go home, come see a host – we will take the charity cut into the pot, which will then be donated to Micro Rainbow.
