I’ve been spending a lot of time in Rayon designing floor and site plans lately and it’s just a joy to use.

Still the worst possible location conceivable for a MLB stadium in PDX. While I do want a pro team, I’ll go on record as saying this will never be built.

Hudson’s Detroit and its moods.
First two photos by Ryan Southen (@rsouthen on Instagram), third by Ben Fidelman (@bfidelman on Instagram).
As the only tall glass curtain building in the middle of a sea of historic beauties, Hudson’s in Detroit stands out. The lines feel deliberate and intentional, working with the surrounding structures to heighten the effect. Sure, the Renaissance Center looms off to the side, separate ... https://afterword.blog/2025/06/23/hudsons-detroit-and-its-moods.html

When I look at my own childhood photos, it’s often the Polaroids that fill me with the most joy. So when my wife got me a Polaroid camera for my birthday earlier this year, I got excited. It’s a brick, but I’m trying to get in the habit of taking it out with us more often.
My friend Chris just released his fifth album under the banner of Love Axe. If you like politically and socially conscious acoustic and indie rock, you should check out Optimism Paranoia Desperation Abolition. https://album.link/i/1802302038
@bryans.life hi.
Someday I hope the tiny rosemary bush I planted grows this large.
Completed my 15th extended fast tonight (48 hrs) and closing in on 40 lbs down.
Finished reading: The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning by Margareta Magnusson 📚 https://micro.blog/books/9781501173257
Why is it confusing? It just looks similar to an email address to me:
bryan@mypersonalblog.com seems perfectly fine.
Media departments or larger blogs with sections could also have their own:
realestate@nytimes.com or localnews@oregonian.com.
Not sure what the issue is. I have friends with Wordpress ActivityPub handles like mypersonalblog.com@mypersonalblog.com and it looks absolutely ridiculous.
Why do I have to talk myself out of buying every enameled cast iron pan that crosses my feed? Le Creuset? Staub? Hell, even Lodge. Be still my heart, your 9-quart cocotte has got you covered, with room to spare…ribs.
@wjmaggos That looks so bad. What about multiple user blogs?
Sort of a rough day, but I saw some pretty things.
Happy Father’s Day to my dad. A proud veteran who got out with my mom and protested today against the worst President in U.S. history, period. NPR affiliate WCMU interviewed him. I’m lucky my heros are my parents.
Spotted on a leisurely walk this evening: “Trump is a rapist and a racist.”
Waiting on those dog days of summer. She’s ready, I’m not. 🐕🦺 📷 🌞
@hardly_ted yeah, can’t really think of too much smaller. Maybe a used BMW i3 but that’s not AWD either. Maybe take a look at the Bolt EUV just for fun. I’m with you on the GM thing but these seem okay. Scratch that - I thought it was AWD. Hm, I’m stumped.
@hardly_ted ha! Not sure what their reliability is like, but I always kind of liked how the Nissan Leaf looks. A few friends have Bolts and do like them, but I’m with you. I need to be able to lie down fully in back, and pick up mulch from HD. 😉
@hardly_ted
I hear ya. R1T is not obscenely large at least. Still, it would be nice to have something smaller.
