@alice@lgbtqia.space ugh I'm working on this too. Some of my default exclamations are "man!" And "dude!", which I never noticed until I had a trans friend and realized how much misgendering (even when not aimed or referential) affects them. It's easy enough to correct, and I care about them and how they feel when I'm around, so it's something I'm putting effort into.

@maikel@vmst.io for me it's mostly that I struggle with finishing things before moving on to something else. When I'm really fixated on something I am insanely productive, but eventually my focus shifts to something else, and if I keep trying to work on the same task my productivity drops significantly. When I use Adderall, the amount of time before my brain switches to a different focus is extended, so I end up finishing more projects. For me, there's no jitters or appetite loss (at least at my dosage) so it's a benefit.

@maikel@vmst.io I take 20mg Adderall (generic) in the morning, and I don't really feel different at all but more of the shit I need to do gets done.

@KatyElphinstone@mas.to its dense but I liked reading through Noam Chomsky's "Understanding Power". It's definitely more political than interpersonal but some of the same concepts apply.

It definitely feels like I'm going through a metamorphosis. Not even talking about transition. But like. Somehow more than that. On the same vein as having never known who I really was, and discovering who that is. I'm not exactly sure what or who I'm becoming, but I think I'll like it when I do.
