Where are all the pro #ukraine people condemning #Israel for it's unprovoked attacks on #Iran ? Why aren't they putting Iranian flags in their bio and yards and demanding an immediate Israel embargo, seizing their funds and more!

I feel like a lot of Europeans live with a delusion of #russia invading all of #Europe. Even though the facts show that as an impossibility. If it were true they would have taken all of #ukraine by now but obviously things are different.

And really russia has no desire for it. But fear mongers would swear I'm a Russian troll for even suggesting such things. Never mind the facts of reality.

Liberalism flourished after WW2 due to the US's unparalleled economic advantage, which was built on the massive expansion of its industrial base during the war while the rest of the world burned.

The economic supremacy that legitimized western system has now faded and liberal democracies face a crisis of confidence while China's model is emerging as a successful alternative.

@MFDoomer but socialism is tied to russia through history.

You can acknowledge that, acknowledge that nato was always used against russia, and acknowledge that usa purposely places missiles in nato and targets russia.

You can also acknowledge that russia may not have acted best in attacking the ukraine, but that it did not happen in a vacuum. Putin didn't wake up one day and randomly attack. I'm not saying it's great but people who deny the history leading towards it are disingenuous.

@reedmideke do you think the usa is far from fascist? Do you think the usa wouldn't kill thousands of Russians? They've killed thousands of Palestinians, Afghans, Koreans, Iraqis.... usa is the world's boogeyman. If you want to be afraid of something that's the one to fear.

If you were in putins place, you'd be so much better I'm sure. But till then, you should wish for peace for all. But don't forget what got it here in the first place. Nato was entirely created for western hegemony.

@MFDoomer @iryna perhaps you've missed all the times nato expanded before crimean actions. Also maybe you missed the puppet gov backed by usa that the ukraine had at that time and all the leadup towards that action.

None of this happened in a vacuum. You can't separate it all from history. A Marxist interpretation would incorporate all of it and quit trying to simplify an overly complicated sequence of events.

I don't agree with all of what's going on over there but I don't deny the history

@compfu @iryna maybe you live in a strange mythical land but everyone i know, understand that #nato exists to contain challenges to us hegemony. At that time it was #Soviet and today it's #russia. There's a reason russia doesn't want missile systems aimed at their country on their border. It's the same reason #usa doesn't want them in #Cuba. To argue much else sidesteps the truth.
