Superblockify is a new #Python package for reproducible analysis of and research into pro-active, pro-children, pro-safety, pro-accessibility and pro-play public spaces 🚶 🚲 🦽 🛝 Check it out, install it, and give it a spin here: https://buff.ly/4dG7scT #DataScience #Cities
Just published in JOSS: '<code>superblockify</code>: A Python Package for Automated Generation, Visualization, and Analysis of Potential Superblocks in Cities' https://doi.org/10.21105/joss.06798
@nerdsitu @cbueth @supergrobi Carlson implemented "superblockify" - a Python library for partitioning an urban street network into Superblock-like neighborhoods and for visualizing and analyzing the partition results. Try it out at: https://superblockify.city - submitted to @joss, funded by #juststreets
- Concerns regarding the equitability of the lab test conditions were found as all reviewed studies used a fifty-percentile male head and body forms
- The results suggest that the shape and size of the head itself also play a key role in the protective effects of bicycle helmets
Bike Helmets: To wear or not to wear? 🚲
Examining meta studies, lab based research & key methodological papers we found:
- Wearing helmets is beneficial, regardless of age, crash severity, or crash type
- Especially in high-risk situations and when cycling on shared roads 🚗
Workers 🧑💼👷🏼🧑⚕️, individuals with a high degree of life satisfaction ☺️, and environmentally friendly individuals 🌿 all have higher cycling‐frequency probabilities relative to others, study by @natalia_barbour and @fred_mannering@twitter.com estimates 🚲 📈
💡 I suspect this is mutually dependent, so you'll become happier if you bike a little more!
POV: most complicated Snakes and Ladders game.
@Luca ✏️ Toot was edited, thanks for pointing out, and the great tool!
What if they would just transform themselves into a big instance 💭
@Luca Even if they have retweeted their fedi toots only once on the birdpage, this web app will find your followings. And don't forget to leave a trace of your fedi username on the birdpage. It also works great when running multiple times, for example in a month after even more accounts have moved. 2/2
It's wonderful to rediscover your interesting sources in the Fediverse without having to do it by hand. You can do this easily with the tool made by @Luca: https://fedifinder.glitch.me/. 1/2
