Just stopping by to say love the new name #Firefish as well as the new logo. My timelines struggle to load at times (I'm guessing because of server load) so I won't be spending a ton of time here for now. Everyone enjoy your Friday!
Trying out Firefish as part of my diversification on the Fediverse. Main account here: @chadditudes@mstdn.social

My new wireless earbuds have three volume levels:
1. Too quiet
2. Almost right, but still a little too quiet
3. So loud my ears bleed
I hope the new name for #Calckey will be HBO Max, since it's available now.
It's a coffee by the window kind of morning. #SilentSunday
Something that comes up a lot on the Fediverse is the use of alt tags on images. It's not just a Fediverse thing; it's important across the web. If you're like me, you struggle with what to write for alt tags (and I'm a web developer). This article helped me to write more effective alt tags using a simple structure: object-action-context.

Good job to everyone involved with the #Calckey upgrade yesterday. This is running a lot better now!
@atomicpoet This could actually be a good thing. Let Twitter be the flypaper for toxicity and keep that kind of thing off of the other social networks.
I was driving today and a car pulled in front of me, blocking my view of the car that was in front of me. The funny thing about it? That car was an Eclipse.
I'm sure many of us can relate to this..
I heard an advertisement on music streaming this week for Maytag that uses the "Stacy's Mom" song as a jingle and now I'm not sure I want to live on this planet anymore.
I have my own website, mostly just for my own use. When something breaks, it's annoying and frustrating to find the problem, but I'm the only one using it for the most part so there's not a lot of pressure to get it fixed quickly.
I can only imagine the pressure of running something like Calckey where there's over a thousand people using it and reporting errors.
Unrelated, I won't be starting my own Fediverse server anytime soon.
Calckey lets you create filters using regular expressions. As a coder that's both awesome and triggering to me at the same time.
I knew a purpose would emerge for this account. I mostly follow and post about weather on my Mastodon account, but I'm following too many non-weather things now (mostly tech and social media related) that all the weather-related things get lost.
Then I remembered my Calckey account which is just over in the corner jumping up and down waving its arms. So this is where I'll be following and posting about social media and broad tech info.
Also I'm going to try to engage a little more here. Engagement is super high on Calckey (as evident from my meme post a few weeks ago). But I neglected to comment or acknowledge anything on that post, so thanks everyone for the reactions. I'll try to put the social back in social media here.

Me today
Hello Calckey! I'm trying out this latest thing. My main account on the Fediverse is @chadditudes@mstdn.social where I mostly post about weather. I may use this account for other interests. #introduction
