@mjdxp there actually are! VWestlife showed off an RCA model that can pick up current ATSC broadcasts in a recent video about EDTV. I don't know if any DVB/ISDB/DTMB ones were made, but the existence of ATSC ones implies yes, somewhere...

@ash I got a diagnostics screen on one of the new green 569s yesterday morning! It had a bunch of information I wouldn't have expected a PID controller to have, like the bus's internal temperature and a QR code I wasn't game to scan.

It mostly works, it's a little bit jank just because SDDM doesn't actually support the full set of QML that I used to prototype it. It's BYO banner though (where the Windows XP/Gentoo logo is in the screenshot)

@elly it’s doubly bad when you’re marching down the jet bridge on to your sardine tin 777 and they park one of these at an adjacent gate. so close yet so far

@elly unfortunately it’s difficult to get anything but B773s in and out of YBBN. Emirates do very rare A380 flights, Singapore and Cathay do A350s but the logistics of flying either are challenging if you’re Europe-bound. Qantas don’t fly their A380s into YBBN.

I lucked out and got an A380 for the first time ever between Doha and London a few weeks ago and it was even better than I imagined it would be.
