Going to use this again maybe? Updated stuff. We'll see.
Only using this and Bluesky at the moment.
Music: prog rock, hardcore punk, stoner rock, almost anything with a good beat. Bass player, also dabble in vocals, guitar, piano.
Games: M:TG, tactical RPGs, Slay the Spire, poker, board games.
Dog: Zelda Fitzgerald, German shepherd/Siberian husky mix. She's very photogenic and I take advantage of that.
Work: IT infrastructure, primarily in Microsoft stack, but also involved in infosec, identity, mail flow/security. Faked it, made it.

Not sure what's the cooler thing this Monday morning, kickoff of a new (badly needed) project, or the palace intrigue of my boss' boss leaving.
Actually, it's coffee. Coffee is the coolest thing.
Excuse me while I vibrate out of my skin.
Zelda understands Sundays.
@therealahall from Smuggler’s Coffee down the way in Dyer, highly recommend whenever you’re in town
Blew a bunch of money at a local brewery/market. Got some extremely good sourdough bread, coffee, hopped tea, craft root beer, and some t-shirts and coffee mugs. All local.
Feel super great about it. Highly recommend.
Somehow we made profile syncing a simpler, completely understandable process, and there's much hand-wringing because really all we've accomplished is showing how many problems there are
Absolutely no one:

please never, ever change
the test happened and now I'm a nerd
I was a nerd before, but am still one, now
This dog is too much.
I quietly changed to Bing (my career is very Microsoft-tech focused so I use it for research) and DuckDuckGo a couple years ago, basically feeling that Google's results just got a lot worse
Sometimes being proven right doesn't feel good though

My new hobby is gaslighting every single user in my organization with "use the web client" when confronted with any problem in Outlook or Teams
The secret: it's not gaslighting, it's the actual solution like all the time
So it's now the first Monday morning after this "plane-landing", where we actually learn how good or bad it is.
We found a couple problems, nothing earth-shattering but definitely stuff I'm glad we found on Sunday and not like, right now.
Fingers, toes crossed.
Ended up breaking at 2:30 am with an AD restore in progress.
Started again at 9:30 am. Eventually got everything good by about 2 pm.
Somehow we landed this plane without it exploding.
You know it's a bad project implementation when you make a latte (not coffee...espresso!) at 10:30 pm.
@dangoodin @nyquildotorg Literally just my own curiosity probably from about a year ago. I think I was in a conversation about bands and bass guitar (I myself am a bass player) and I searched and found this anomaly. Was true as recently as a few months ago, but now appears to have been "fixed" one way or another.
So this is all anecdotal, but some webarchive sleuthing could likely find what was up.
@nyquildotorg It's largely been fixed now, but for a good while if you searched on Google "famous rock bands without bass players" you'd have auto-populated results of "Led Zeppelin", "The Beatles", "The Who", and some other bands who, incidentally, contain some of the most iconic bass players of all time. All referenced from a fistful of AI-driven sites that fooled each other into that non-reality.
This reeks of "plastic straw" nonsense.
Yes, AC isn't good. We should use less if we can.
But: AC use is a drop in the pond of things we should cut back on in the name of environmentalism.
And: AC saves many lives, and access to it is essential for many people in many places.

@therealahall I had been wanting to do a new build for a while; saw this case and was immediately wanting to do it
It's just rad. Also just real nice too; it's pricey but no expense was spared, it's top quality
@FishermansEnemy The pictured cooler was "fine" under reasonable loads, but if I pushed the system it got into the high 80's, which is technically within spec for Ryzen procs but...I knew I could do better.
With the bigger cooler it rarely gets over 75 now, even when pushed.
