@JoshFrankel No worries, it was cool to learn something, I hadn't known about this somehow!

@fox https://www.inkdrop.app/ β I wanted very low latency, simplicity, and optional Markdown, but with a little organization, and it has served me well for a few years now!
@hschne .reduce(:merge) also fine BTW :)
@gee_forr Thanks - did you mean RubyFlow? If so, I saw it, but much of it had gone before I got to do anything, as there are already some moderators taking care of it. I can add you to that group though if you want! :)
It's funny what you get stuck on. Building a new Rails app everything has been smooth sailing but I got stuck for 30 minutes on Tailwind not recompiling assets. Turns out it has a bug if you have a parent folder with parens in it! π https://github.com/tailwindlabs/tailwindcss/discussions/10485
@postmodern Thanks! Yeah, it's been sorely outdated by more modern techniques but worked reasonably well as a technique at the time.
@halfbyte Still, congratulations π₯³
@thisismissem I was working on the assumption that seasoned Node developers would be familiar with the ramifications of 'current', but I could probably have done with adding that context! I'll try and mention it next week to clear things up :)
@collin I'm not a theme park or coaster person at all either and Incredicoaster is my favorite one ever. It's fast but it feels very smooth and safe at the same time.
@ScottEvtuch Interesting use case!
This is so cool. Go to https://shapecatcher.com/ and draw in the box and it'll show you the closest matching Unicode symbols to what you drew.
@phillmv Fun, isn't it! π Interesting they did it retrospectively too. Splash damage of trying to tackle real phishers, I guess.
@markoheikkila It's taken many years, but yes, I'm happy with it now! :-) I'm surprised though, we are always told Finland and Scandinavian countries have gigabit everywhere ;-)
@jamescridland Oh no! π« It's happened to all of us. Def worth learning a little git as it can solve this problem locally in a couple of commands.

If you started to download a 4.8 terabyte file in January 2000 on your 56kbps connection, it'd be finishing about now π
On my current home connection, it would take about 12 hours.
@codepo8 Give it a couple of weeks and you'll think it's the sweetest thing.
I live for when songs that crescendo into long, noodling fuzz guitar solos get played as part of the grocery store's "easy listening" playlist. The Carpenters' Goodbye to Love or The Isley Brothers' Summer Breeze are perfect examples π
@fmcato That sounds fair. I am beginning to notice other issues as well, such as WSL2 instances not staying up constantly.
The branding effect of Mastodon instance domains is interesting. I feel a stronger urge to follow folks from servers I perceive as dens of coolness (e.g. Hachyderm, ruby.social, tilde.zone).
My new PC has one retro feature. My first mouse mat from 33 years ago π It still works fantastically.
