Culprit found; WhatsApp backup 🫠

I am burning through my mobile phone internet data today. I have an unlimited subscription so it is not a big deal, but really wondering which app is using so much data suddenly.

Missed the 10.18 train at Zwijndrecht due to 10 minute delay during departure (randomly) of the bus and a total asshole of a car driver blocking the access road to the station and not wanting to move 👍.

Oh I love train replacement busses…

:ns_nl_b: What also still amazes me is that they have a rather clear information page on the website, with a map, explaining the train replacement busses.

But they don’t communicate it! The app and website (entering via the home page) comes with rather vague textual descriptions. A map like on this page is nowhere to be found: https://nieuws.ns.nl/werkzaamheden-rotterdam-bussen-en-metro-in-plaats-van-trein/

:ns_nl_b: “Check your travel in the app” they say. But what if the app comes up with faulty information?

When heading east, it says you need to take the metro to “A. Van Rijckevorseplein”. But that stop does not exist in the metro network. It should be “Capelsebrug”…

(And it says direction Capelsebrug, which is also wrong. The metro’s have different final destinations.)

The :ns_nl_b: NS Reisplanner is still forcing anyone who wants to go north via :ret_rotterdam: metro line E, instead of the train replacement busses. RET is not gonna be happy about this…

(No trains at/via Rotterdam Centraal station this weekend due to works.)
