Corvus

I love to discuss maps, music, books, beer, bicycles, boats, 3D modelling and stereo photography.

I use primarily FOSS tools and often find myself dabbling with QGIS, PostGIS, Geoserver, OpenDroneMap, OpenStreetMap, and various Python libraries.

@Paulatics
The second time in as many weeks that I've watched you speak in the Senate. Well done.
Despite my own misgivings about an un-elected Senate, you embody what the role of our Senators should be. The advent of "independent" Senators is a positive step that doesn't require a constitutional amendment and I hope that this structure can be strengthened through legislation somehow.

@gumnos
I really laughed out loud.

Good luck and God speed.
Now we all have something to look forward to.

You can't toot that and not supply a picture of Mira enjoying the 'hammock' otherwise what are we even doing here!

I feel like this would only make sense if the 2-3 metre scaffold had meaningful (worth it's own sum) utility to each partner.
P.S. a 10m scaffold sounds scary for amateur use

@ebel
I needed to hear this. I'm not always a good listener.

@fionag11 this looks really interesting. The way you introduce the project reminds me of an aphorism, who's author I regretfully don't recall "if I create a really complex model of the world, now I have two things I don't understand."

You're right that the post could only have emerged from the singular mind of the most stable genius, but the signature makes it the OFFICIAL POLICY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Shapefile? Why not gpkg? Oh...wait...ArcGISpro...where anything is possible but we really don't want you to do it that way.

Cool initiative!
Looks like it also needs some guerrilla tree planting.

My personal site is not built with a CMS that can be used with Sa11y.

This web assessibility evaluation tool (WAVE) looks like a good option for evaluating most websites: wave.webaim.org

The WAVE browser extensions look useful as well.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH times double infinity.

@ret3
I don't know what any of that means but you always have my best wishes and count on good vibes coming your way. Peace.

This looks great. Currently working through a course on Open Educational Resources and accessibility is an essential part of the process. One of the webpages I manage has already been audited for AODA compliance so it will be good to see what a different assessment tool says.

I'm with Tom, probably not gonna spin Big Band at home but, happy to hear it played when curated by someone else in their playlist.
I've been playing this album a lot lately, a great mix of spoken word, funk, rap, and jazz:

But some things have improved. For instance, in 2000 I was still keeping multiple backups of the list of people-who-have-pissed-me-off on multiple removable drives. Now I use cloud storage.
