@bud_t @ai6yr hmm, maybe I should start a website where a variety of cables are available for purchase. After 10 days, the order automatically cancels and is refunded. In that time the customer would have found their missing cable.

A reminder: The reason so many firms on their websites constantly urge you to install and use their apps instead of their websites is that the apps typically give them access to VASTLY more data about you and your activities. Don't fall for it.
Nope, I am absolutely not avoiding the chores that I definitely need to get done today. Definitely not.
Well, maybe a little :dustSprite:
Ahh, dammit. Off to do some adulting. Have a good one.
@esnyder
Oh!
PS:

*if* your longtail uses a 1-1/8th steerer
I have a couple of NIB CaneCreek ViscoSet dampened top headsets laying about, & I *do* know where they are.
Lemme know.

useful, simple, clever device
they show up from time to time.
I've got 1 or 2 around, no idea where

@oheso
they were awesome gloves
@meganL
oh

My new cycling obsession is Tall -unmountable- Curbs
I put these strongly in the category of terrible & hostile roadway design & engineering
Not good for *anything*.
they damage motor vehicles, injure cyclists & pedestrians,
(who fall *INTO* the roadway)
unnavigable by disabled & child-transporting folks and inhibit emergency response.
carbrained BS

had to re-compose my thoughts here.
I wholly agree with your take on helmet has *1 Job* and it's a critical job
i wear a smiths mips
only 'street' lid I could find that's hiviz, ez 2 get, & not crazy spendy
has integral (& useless) rear light/blinky
addons:
petzl actik headlamp, held on with headband, and the ubiquitos EVT SafeZone mirror
both of which go flying when I crash, even without a head-strike. yet are secure for 'hard knocks'
& I do crash
@ascentale @bikenite
@MartyCormack
Am sorry for 'hostile reactions'.
However, I -in part- do understand. story there, beyond scope here.
gopro(and similar) are oft about 'making videos) and that's huge fun, & I like it.
Long ago, in the 80s, we were ductaping 'handicams' to our helmets to make vids.
awkward, but good for laffs
eyeline pov is *best*, chest or bike mount is too strange looking
hard to relate

good thoughts, & thank you.
all sorts of conflicting & messy thoughts on the subject of constant panopticon surveillance.
my personal tenure in law enforcement was spotty and truncated, & I walked away. yup, there's a story there. heh
goal for this is for matter of record. Not my place to attempt-in-vain to modify other's behaviour. here be dragons
"did the suv clip my handlebar? *or* did my pedal strike that curb as I was trying to give way?"
more useful
@pete
Yes
for a little while back in the old days,Sony made a nice 'lipstick' or bullet camera that once could plug into various sony recorders.
this was right-sized, and unobstrusive.
Since everything seems to be all-in-one now, nothing i see out there really suites.
@futurebird
oh!
that's beautiful
@Snowshadow @chartier @mcc
@ascentale
sure!
Did my first nude painting yesterday.
The neighbours weren’t impressed but my front door looks great.
