I called the front office of the apartment complex to complain. This isn't the first time this has happened. Teenage kids have been vandalizing the property since around the 4th of July. Chunks of loose concrete, bricks and pavers pulled up. Graffiti tags. Screens pulled off windows. Broken windows where there was also a fire.

@portlandy yeah when I read that stuff it's like "this is a betrayal of working families" (oh right, I don't get to have a family, thanks for reminding me, and also insulting me for being unemployed) "a betrayal of our children" (oh right, I don't get to have children, thanks for reminding me. I wonder if those republicans are accepting donations.)

While walking my dogs this morning we walked past a police officer who was kneeling next to a person laying on the sidewalk in a sleeping bag.

Unfortunately this isn't an uncommon thing to see. As I walked past the officer appeared to be checking their pulse, then stood up and just stood still... The person's arm stayed in the position the officer had move it to...

This, and seeing our government moving in the wrong direction is just unbearable. We have to fix our society.

Really hoping my student loans and Pell grants don't get totally screwed up. I won't be able to finish my Bachelor's degree otherwise.

even though i live next to the beach i never actually go to the beach in my town. i live in a really small town and i don't want to be known as the fucking loser who's always walking on the beach by himself b/c he doesn't have any friends. so i go a few towns away to walk on the beach.

@VisualStuart It's powerful, but you know what's even more? Organizing. Don't protest until you're organized and coordinating it in private. Then you'll be effective, whether you're silent or loud about it.
