A personal update, which I just posted to LinkedIn but I'd like to note here too. After nearly six years at The New Stack, my role has come to an end as part of a broader round of redundancies. I’m now exploring ideas at the intersection of AI and web systems, particularly how AI is reshaping the architecture and future of the open web (including, of course, the fediverse). I welcome thoughtful conversations.

@angelikatyborska @Jbasoo @db In all seriousness, I am –like many others– under a work mandate to use AI. In my role I get to see some really neat ideas come to life but I also see plenty of trash. I see empowerment, but also unconsidered use. It's a lot of cognitive work to maintain intellectual honesty when my family's well-being depends on me going full "AI native" booster... I expect my grand thesis on AI will be complete right around the time the bubble burts.

hi i'm looking for someone to build a website! this is a paid project.

this is for a school for girls in rural Uttar Pradesh. the site's primary function is to bring in donations (from a primarily American audience) to cover the costs of housing and tuition. it needs to look very professional. it won't need to have anything dynamic aside from donation payment processing.
