This is a monumental day for the future of the social web, though it might not be obvious for a while. Mastodon matures its governance model with a great, solid non-profit blog.joinmastodon.org/2025/01/ and a coalition of independents push to open up Bluesky's AT Protocol: freeourfeeds.com/ These two moves together put the most credible players on solid ground for years to come — and set up the open platforms to enable lots of innovation just when it's needed most.

We’re inspired by our Fast Forward program member Watch Duty and the way they’ve been invaluable to everyone in Los Angeles impacted by these devastating fires.

AI is making the internet sloooower and if you’re happy to sit and wait forever during your one short life on Earth then you probably won’t be interested in our semantic caching solution that’s 8x faster.

👉 Always ask: What are we trying to accomplish? Will this replace or supercharge our human capital? And will this be used to make decisions, or inform better, more optimal decisions?

wasi-sdk 25.0 is now released!

Highlights include:
- LLVM 19
- Include llvm-dwp utility
- Experimental setjmp/longjmp support (this depends on the Wasm exception-handling proposal, which many non-browser Wasm engines don't support yet, but it's a step)

Attending the @devs Holiday Meetup in Stockholm with the venerable @shortridge and the great Nordic team.

As part of my work globally on edge compute platforms, it’s always great to see what the rest of the community is doing with WebAssembly and edge computing.

After following Kelly for years on social media it’s great to hear her perspective, however brief, on security, including responsiveness to security incidents.

Bad idea: build a captcha library that embeds DOSBox so it can make you beat levels/puzzles from DOS games to continue.

Prove you're a human! Beat Lifewater Oasis from Commander Keen 4! Defeat the Yeti in Kings Quest 5! Make sure 15 lemmings survive! Get the sword in Prince of Persia!
