Part of your job as a senior is to tell your juniors about your fuckups. The embarrassing cringe reckless and lazy bullshit that you did when you were new, and the various times you brought down Prod. We ALL did it sometime. And then tell them: the moment you realized you fucked up, I know, the impulse is to try and cover it up, but don't do it. Come to the seniors you trust, and they'll help you unfuck it, and fight management tooth and claw like mamma and pappa bears to defend you from any shitheads in management. Because that's what our seniors did to us.

@ocramius The last issue I had was with Endless Space 2, I had to use GE-Proton. Took all of 5 minutes to fix since I was using Heroic Launcher, but that was the last major issue with a game I had.

@skc @heiglandreas @ramsey While morally wrong, I don't think they shouldn't try to protect themselves from their definition of "bad actors". If they honestly percieve WPE as a threat, they are probably within their rights to block them from services WP owns.

Hence why they are going after a trademark infringement, because they can't stop WPE from running the base WP code.

But they can stop them from using WP infrastructure directly. Morally bad, but probably legal.

@AspirePress @kboyd @ramsey Right. Totally agree. My original complaint was with sole reporting about how could they do the fork in the first place, that was tantamount to stealing, etc.

@voxpelli @ramsey I had just done a quick glance. There's always been a sticky question on stuff like assets and non-code portions on what exactly the licenses are. If they did leave that stuff in, they should remove it to properly finish the forking.
