@ouinne She and Spork still wrassle a lot and she'll still stronger than him so he'll be running circles around her and she just slams him with a well-timed burst of speed when she needs to. Spork is so ridiculous.

@ouinne She has mild hip dysplasia, I've got her on dasuquin and fish oil/green-lipped muscle oil, plus a small dose of antiinflammatory twice a day and she's doing really well for now. I cut way back on a lot of the hardcore frisbee and ball fetching up and down the hills, and we go to the dog park like once a week. Trying to find the balance with the stuff she loves. She's actually happy these days mostly just to "have" balls rather than chase them too much.

@ouinne Harper is jumping so big! And Spork is starting to figure out how to do the jumping thing too.

I just wanted to give a tip about those writing alt text.

I thank everyone who does so! It makes my Mastodon experience so much more amazing!

But a tip, though:

If you are describing, say, text on a screen, it would be very appreciated if you describe not just the screen that exists, but what is on the screen. Here is an example.

If you say, "A screen shot of my phone's screen, showing a post on Mastodon." it doesn't much help because I ask myself (since I cannot see the image) "Yes? What does it say?

A better example would be, say:

"A screen shot of my phone's screen. There is a Mastodon post that reads:
'This is my amazing post!'"

It really, really helps me understand the full context.

@jillithd I went to check and see how @ouinne was doing and saw that she hadn't posted for like 6 weeks and got all panicked thinking she had followed Ross into the Next Great Cosmic Adventure and then scrolled down far enough to realize that she'd just changed servers.

@jillithd I haven't been on masto for a hot minute but I got to missing the handful of people who have made this their home, so I'm glad I saw this! I've got some locust blossom jelly and cherry preserves this year, and I'm going to attempt elderflower jelly this weekend. floral jellies are new to me.
