@rowyn It's pretty clear that the purveyors of these systems have made the business decision that their hope for the Big Profits is in ensnaring everyone into generative AI. They know it's garbage. Often dangerous garbage. The less "sexy" machine learning products just aren't seen as the big money makers for the C-suite billionaires. So they just don't care if the more serious machine learning applications are conflated by the public with horrific LLMs. They don't care a bit.
