I still like this fancy bibliophile bat I painted a while back. I started with a very saturated red ground which made it quite hard to paint but the results were pretty interesting I think.

Kid added 'waterproof scrunchie' to her birthday wish list. Knowing this didn't exist and was very likely a filler item she added just to have more things, I ignored it.

My mother, on the other hand, spent ages looking for one (unsuccessfully of course). I heard about her troubles so many times I finally just said I'd make her a damn waterproof scrunchie.

Anyway, tada. If anyone else needs nearly a full yard of waterproof horse printed fabric, you know who to call 🙄😆

I thought I'd enjoy a little overlap in real life and fandom socials by adding a select few people, but I think now this is the only place where no one irl follows me and where I then can't inadvertently make anyone feel bad by talking about sensitive topics like relationships or big feelings.

Weird to wonder if I'm gonna block my dearest people, but also I've grown quite fond of yelling into the void.

Sometimes I think about the fact that my brain rot is so bad that I sat at the front of a room of fellow scholars and gave a point-by-point analysis about how ofmd smaus reproduce a multitude of eighteenth-century literary techniques. I don't hate this even a little

A few days ago my trimmer died halfway through giving a quick once over my legs (I like the prickly feeling - it's a stim for me to rub my hand over it, so I tend to shave every couple months) and I forgot about it til just now. I look a fool and I just... don't care? And that's just fucking spectacular.

Wish I could show anxious pre-teen me how little social norms will matter to them later.

Going camping for a few days with family, maybe meet some dear friends in small faraway place that none of us live in but all will be randomly nearby, and then get the kid ready for school and her birthday soon after. And maybe READ SOME BOOKS and KNIT SOME YARN.

I'm so excited.
