please don’t let anyone gatekeep your own anger away from you, especially when your ability to exist and to make a living are both under active attack. if you’re angry because of LLM-enabled war crimes, the loss of our software commons, or any of the other wrongs the AI industry has started that never stopped, you aren’t wrong. you don’t owe the people enabling and forgiving this stuff your kindness.

@monoxyd hab wirklich keine Erfahrung mit Linux, außer dass ich zu Windows 2000 Zeiten immer mit Koppix meine Festplatten gerettet habe :D
Und ich bin auch NVIDIA gpu Betreiber. Spätestens seit die mit Vollgas llm zur Treiber-Produktion einsetzen, nutze ich auch auf Windows (Rhino bekomme ich einfach nicht zum laufen auf Linux..) maximal aktuelle Studio Treiber.

Einer meiner Nachbarn (so richtig gegendert) hat heute ca. 45 Minuten lang sein Auto in einer Feuerwehraufstellfläche mit laufendem Motor geparkt, um Holz für seinen kack Ofen ins Haus zu tragen (Gründerzeitviertel ohne Autoabstellinfrastruktur, deutsche Mittelstadt). Absolute Wohlstandsverwahrlosung.

@philhoefer ich habe in der Uni noch AutoCad gelernt, und finde LibreCad ist da nah dran. Kann glaube ich nur 2D, bin auch kein Profi. Benutze es privat für Bastelprojekte mit Holz.

@monoxyd Linux noob hier: vor allem mit AMD läuft fast alles, dank Proton, ohne echt spürbare Einbußen. Man braucht kein Gaming distro, am besten ein gut gepflegtes Mainstream wie arch nutzen. Selbst für kernel level anti cheat gibts inzwischen theoretische Implementierung, z.B. die beiden Bungie Spiele funktionieren aber leider immer noch nicht. Die grösste Hürde ist wahrscheinlich zur Zeit, an eine preiswerte Festplatte zu kommen und den dualboot einzurichten.

I think that is actually the biggest problem with those systems.

It's not losing some random skill that we have made superflous, it's about taking skills that are the foundation for your agency in this world and your ability to understand it.

It is a fundamental human right that is being taken from you for the sake of efficiency and convenience.

@wackJackle @larsweisbrod ich glaube, man kann sich dem Werkzeug, im Allgemeinen, dann verweigern, wenn es auf fundierter und vertiefter Kritik basiert, und damit dann in der Regel auch alternative Handlungsweisen aufzeigt bzw. aufzeigen kann.

@FraumitFahrrad liebe es, dass „mehrere Male“ circa 2000 Beamte sind, also circa 2000 mal /s (verarchte ich natürlich sehr doll).

@sauer_lauwarm ich bin immer noch irritiert von der KI-Stimme, aber der Pumuckl Film hat tatsächlich Spaß gemacht. Kleine Geschichte, echte Schauspieler in echten Räumen. Und Pumuckl erzeugt immer noch größere Sachschäden und versteht Hühner falsch.

@NinaGerling es freut mich, wenn was dabei ist! Die Liste könnte länger sein, aber ich wollte auch nicht übertreiben. Ein Spiel fehlt aber eindeutig: Dorfromantik. Das ist nämlich der Inbegriff von gemütlich - ein „Aufbauspiel“ ohne Management-Stress. Einfach nur Hex-Felder-Karten, schöne Musik und vom endlos-Spiel bis zur monatlichen Herausforderung viele verschiedene Arten, in die Diorama-Welt einzutauchen.

@NinaGerling Unpacking ist ein wunderschönes Puzzle, vor allem wegen der Geschichte.
Kentucky Route Zero ist ein erzählerisches Meisterwerk, dass das Konzept Videospiel quasi auflöst.
Mutatazione ist eine emotionale Geschichte, in der man musikalische Gärten pflegt, mit einem sehr schönen Grafikstil.
Die Duck Detective Spiele sind witzig, kurz & „knackig“ (Point&Click).
Satisfactory ist Factorio in 3D, man kann die Kreaturen auf friedlich stellen und entspannt bauen und erkunden.

@lritter I set up a file for this exact use on my cryptdrive. It has synchronous edit and I just uploaded the old file, the web client uses open desk afaik. But for the use case it’s perfect.
