@Edent Nice! Interesting they need to be so close to the hub.
Side note, I’ve found the people selling Ikea stuff on Amazon like you linked seem to put a chunky markup on … £28 for four of the GU10s bought direct round my way, though that is the newer 345lm variant (I think the 400s are discontinued?) and no help if you don’t live near an Ikea.
@maartje Might be they’re not with Icomera on the class 80x of course
@maartje ah, interesting — I think GA already have this, had assumed that the Icomera cloud platform also already uploads GPS though I can imagine all the additional sensors would be useful
@maartje eyes emoji
@lukegb that’s a new one
@scarlet i’d like to imagine that read aloud by a really pissed off Kevin McCloud
@merlin @kuriko yeah, basically; lifting and shifting stuff, sometimes rudimentary gardening and manual labour/handyman things.
depends on the man and the van really but ‘pick up this wardrobe/washing machine/sofa from somewhere, get it in and help install/assemble it’ is basically the core thing as I understand it yeah
sometimes also ‘get rid of the old one’ but that is a bit more touchy as you’re meant to make sure they have environment agency licenses for waste disposal etc
@benjojo they have now come out with a somewhat mid GWR rewards programme to partly make up for this, at least
plugged it in there last night as it was on 2% battery, I needed to do some things before midnight, the cable was just there as I used it for my phone, and I didn't really have time to go looking for the proper charger
it did seem to keep it from depleting the battery in use, just about, which says a lot about the efficiency
(model: MacBook Pro 13", M1, 2020)
fun discovery of the day: turns out my laptop will happily slow charge overnight to full from the slightly sketchy "5V 2.1A" USB-A port built into a wall socket using a type-A-to-type-C cable; what a world
@ipg aw, that’s unfortunate — not even with haxx? iirc there might’ve been ways, tho maybe i misremember
