If children can't develop immunity, then proposals that we need to let them get infected in order to achieve endemicity is literally treating them as vectors for infecting grown-ups. The rise in infection-derived antibodies means innate immunity is increasingly less effective
Innate immunity is variant agnostic
This tells me their innate immunity is getting increasingly less effective at "crushing the virus" and is getting crushed instead

I spoke to an outstanding pediatric colleague today who termed omicron SARS-2 a Trojan horse in kids. Initial illness non-severe for the overwhelming majority of kids. Their concern is the downstream illness a few weeks later: infectious or immune.

Additionally, we are concerned with any changes that could explain an increased risk of other pathogens like published in the BMJ
