@mwl @philvuchetich :flan_thumbs:
"If one's skills are sufficiently in demand, one can wear a bathrobe to work, and generally have one's eccentricities tolerated."
@philvuchetich @mwl I hear canonical has 32000 job openings(lolwut‽). :flan_set_fire:
At least we would get a "Jumping through hoops mastery" out of that on...
@mwl a nice, odd 511 would be better :goose_peek:
@sng my image description starts with "Totoro!", so if you already know what a Totoro is, I got you covered.
Unrelatedly "Totoro!" is also what my partner and I shouted when we saw it.
Luckily eccentricities by foreigners are either somewhat tolerated or japanese people are too polite to show their annoyance. In any case, people kept their eye rolling to a minimum.
@sng do you have a better visual description? "Kami" is not particularly helpful.
@sng :flan_peek:
I think I did.
@vicgrinberg ah, that makes sense, in a sad kinda way.
:flan_think: I wonder what the logistics for that look like. I mean, they someone have to get an ICE to Bern to start there to leave Switzerland.
@vicgrinberg huh, didn't I read somewhere that zee germans are no longer allowed to drive around in Switzerland because they are always delayed and mess up the swiss timetable. Something about they have to stop in Basel.
@RussSharek @SocialGaff I did not. Someone was doing some wood repair on the contraption that holds up the bell and I did not want to disturb them. They would have needed to step away to not go deaf.
Some people did play the bell with gusto.
Said monastery on the other side of the river valley, half way up the hill.
The bell was incredibly loud and could be heard all through the valley. @SocialGaff @RussSharek
We went to a Zen monastery near Kyoto today and saw this sign. :flan_squee:
It would be rude to not tag
@SocialGaff @RussSharek :flan_peek:
Maybe 4.5BSD will remedy this?
Uh oh :flan_on_fire:
@welshpixie I was always partial to "if you can read this, you are too close".
@mwl Truth, Justice, Freedom, Reasonably-Priced Love and a Hard-Boiled Egg! :flan_shout:
The Japanese equivalent of the Dutch bike rack. :flan_XD:
