Sorry about the million replies over on Bluesky, @gwenynen! I think everything is glitching terribly right now.
Haunting the seashore, as promised
@Schopflin @sheepnik definitely a Superb Owl!
Here is a wonderful #owl for you
WRT that last toot, obviously I haunt the seashore as a matter of course, but I’d really like the conversations with owls option
What's your favorite summer pastime?
Spotted a brutal murder in the Cardiff Lego shop today
Someone on FB stated "it's a pity Scottish Gaelic is dying" - yeah, if you let it! Learn Gàidhlig via Duolingo, the BBC's Speak Gaelic course https://speakgaelic.scot & YouTube, via courses at eSgoil (e-sgoil.com) at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig (smo.uhi.ac.uk) & local classes throughout Scotland. I did Duolingo's course, in a week or so I get my SQA Gaelic Higher result, & next month start Advanced Gaelic. I regularly use the language now with pals across the country, it can be done!
Cùm #Gàidhlig beò! 🏴🏴

@samanthahalf Proof! They had a great time
@ukscone They’ve had popping candy before, but there’s no way they’d consider sharing it with a pigeon!
We did have a lovely time catching up with @samanthahalf and her small person, *and* we got to go on a boat, which was awesome. But R did panic about missing the Cardiff-London train and had to be prevented from dashing onto the train to Holyhead (presumably because being on *any* train was preferable to not being on one) so chaos was ever-present.
Wondering whether I should subscribe to the Heimdall school of parenting, especially given that we as a family seem to be part-way there already.
Yes, I have just spent the weekend shepherding my children around London and explaining why you shouldn't try to feed the pigeons rice, or climb into the Trafalgar Square fountains, why do you ask?
@Sophie Not remotely!
Cheers for that, Inspirobot. May we all be as above average as toasters.
Still one of the greatest paragraphs of all time.
@gwenynen I’d say you have a pen or two to keep you going!
@gwenynen this is very exciting!
@Edmonds_Scanner Mossy forest sci-fi basically is the Southern Reach trilogy!
