just remembered the state of OBS vs Xsplit in 2015-2016 or so where OBS was just really jank and obnoxious to use and Xsplit (proprietary, paid software) still had tons of ground
and then OBS actually got good and with OBS Studio put a *lot* of care into usability and making it match the kind of UX you'd get from Xsplit
and now nobody uses Xsplit
On March 12, we hosted our first FOSS Backstage Design Barcamp, welcoming anyone interested in User Experience and Design within Free and Open Source Software projects.
