@zachklipp one more problem I'd how hard it is to make ids. Do I need to encode parent or index for uniqueness? I think of it backwards, why can't I just flip a switch and have android generate an ID for each view on screen

@zachklipp yup which then tooling doesn't work that expected old ids. You can then add more flags to treat as ids, poorly constructed non unique ids that don't work with many tools. I dunno would be nice to just go back to identifiers

Would running the giant query 4 times be faster than running smaller ones 4 times? I'm missing where the exponential slowness comes from.
