i played through pentiment over the last three days. such an amazing game. inspiring dialogue writing. unlike most games where saying fuck you or being a polite softie will have no meaningful effect, in pentiment every subtle difference in wording feels like it could turn someone against you and dramatically change the course of the game.
@alavi it is an adorable way to make little games. it's like when your art teacher assigned homework where you had to use only 3 colors of sharpies, or had to incorporate simple geometric shapes. useful constraints.
retroarch is a very different thing. simulating old actual consoles. pico8 is like an emulator for a console that never existed, but one that is a pleasure to develop for

i like this song by the Egyptian artist TUL8TE, who is known for wearing a crochet'd balaclava. i think the balaclava is a somewhat common trend here for artists but im still learning about it

i've added a single html file to the itch downloads as a (hopefully) good way to play the game on mobile without internet. i toyed with adding an apk here, but that only covered android, and it seemed clunky. if you try it out let me know if it works. it asks for an optional donation when you download, but i'm very cool with folks just downloading without donating. i'm doing fine ^_^
have any other #pico8 developers distributed their game for mobile? how did you solve it?
