@jee @Aznorth non. les metadonnées sont sur le server de l'instance. Parfois elles sont identiques a celle de musibrainz mais parfois non.

le fichier audio est lui aussi sur le server de l'instance. Mais c'est un object très différent. Les droit d'auteur s'applique au ficher audio, pas au métadonnés.

Ceci peut creer des confusions (on a toujours acces au metadonné, mais pas toujours au ficher audio)

the android app is not on the play-store anymore because nobody is maintaining it. The new app should be more reactive to mobile devices, allowing us to save maintenance time o/

si, les id nous permettent de matcher les artistes de notre db avec les artistes de wikidata. On peut pas uniquement se baser sur les noms a cause des homonymes.

@desmu pas tout a fait. Le filtre concerne les metadonnés de musique, pas les comptes des utilisateurs.

Aussi les données viennent de @wikidata et pas de Musicbrainz. Notament parce que les tags dans musibrainz ne sont pas modérés, alors que wikidata offre des outils de modération strictes

@freaktechnik well this relies on last.fm data. I don't want to spend my time on this but feel free to add support.
Could be nice if the #subsonic api allowed to choose the service. Maybe we could use our own data provider and not follow their spec. I'm not sure about this.

@freaktechnik probably, `get_album` will raise an exception while quering funkwhale and it's use a lot in the code you provided.

But indeed don't implemented `getTopSongs` and `getAlbumInfo2` endpoints. Opening an issue to make this happen in v2 :)

Serving niche music is exactly what funkwhale does o/ If you're a label or an artist and you need to publish your work on your own server to avoid having to paid you're own rights, then you can self-host funkwhale and publish your music on the fediverse and on rss :D

About iffunkwhale is better than funkwhale. It depends what you're willing to do. What specific features you're looking ?
