@mattst88 Spreadsheet is probably fine, but you also could misuse a Jira project for it. Every part is an issue, you could use an Workflow with "Not In Use", " In Use", "To Be Replaced" or whatever statusses and technical informations about the parts in customfields. You could create a Jira Dashboard for overview your parts.

@3f Ich denke auch. Für ein paar Anwendungsfälle kann man AI sicher gut verwenden, vor allem wenn man sich nur unkritische, leicht überschaubare Code-snippets generieren lässt. Der Großteil ist jedoch bisher eine Katarstrophe. Vorallem aus Sicherheitssicht.

Aber zu sagen, man käme ohne gar nicht mehr an sein Ziel ist für mich ein komplett-ausfall und das deutliche Zeichen dass man komplett falsche auf seiner Position ist.

Wenn dass dann noch vom Management unterstützt wird...

@3f Dummerweise bin ich mir da gar nicht mal so sicher. Mein (noch-) Vorgesetzter war mit in dem Termin, und hatte vollstes Verständnis, denn "AI ist die Zukunft, ich geh ja auch nicht zu fuß zur Arbeit sondern fahre Auto"

Für diese Firma besteht keine Hoffnung mehr, noch 35 Tage.

Ein paar Entwickler aus einem anderen Team haben sich gerade bei mir beschwert, dass sie Github Copilot nicht nutzen dürfen und deshalb ihren Code nicht geschrieben bekommen.

Ich glaube da liegt das Problem ganz woanders.

@AT1ST @n3wjack @mhoye @dadakopf You'd be surprised. Until recently, there was a guy in my team who really had no idea, but liked to sell himself as if he did. He was constantly trying to merge completely broken code into production.
