@gambit_1 it’s winning in that the rich and powerful that support trump are able to grift from this growing source of misery of the American working class- either in profiting off of speculation, buying up failing firms, or plain old shifting public discontent onto minorities to bolster their political projects.

@matt_birchler this is a very astute observation. It’s why LLMs are still just tools (very powerful tools) that require a user.
What frustrates me is that yes, LLMs are unlikely to produce anything truly novel due to their nature. This is why I find them poor tools for writing since writing *is* thinking and the whole purpose of writing is to come up with something novel to say.
But coding is often not novel. In fact, it’s exceptionally predictive. It’s why I can write a line of code, hit return, and my IDE can suggest the next 7 lines of a function I’m writing and it’s basically always right.
