Black and white. A tour guide is talking to a group of six tourists while holding up a paper pad showing a drawing of the actual boat that's behind him - a full-sized reconstruction of the famous Elizabethan galleon The Golden Hinde, near London Bridge. Five of the tourists at the right appear to be looking at the drawing, while the rebel on the left actually appears to be looking at the boat, or rather its figurehead, a golden hind, or deer.

A man and a woman that I've seen and photographed before and couldn't resist another photo. The woman has shoulder-length two-tone black and brown hair and is wearing a beige jacket over a black top with a charcoal-coloured skirt (or perhaps a two-coloured dress) with black platform boots, and is carrying a small black patent leather handbag. The man is dressed as what looks like a Chinese wizard, in a red suit with baggy trousers, a red gown with white floral pattern, a type of skull cap tapering up into a twisted point, thick red-rimmed sunglasses, some kind of red and white scarf with a gold tassel at the bottom end, and has neck-length shaggy blond hair and a long goatee beard with matching moustache. Black and white. A man , seen from behind, is silhouetted in a doorway at the far end of a corridor that he's walking through with a woman in the shadows to his left. Just inside the doorway, to the right of the door, is another man who is hunched over. The light from outside has made the floor shiny. There is a row of four lit lamps halfway up the corridor, and the ceiling is above a series of seven pilastered arches. There is also a pair of heavy wooden doors standing open at the near end.

A very colourful shop in Neal Street, in London's Covent Garden area. A lady shop assistant can be seen inside the shop at the right, leaning on the counter and checking her phone while waiting for customers. Hundreds of colourful gifts fill the shelves and the walls throughout the shop. Above the windows outside are shapes made of fabric including a large eye, clouds, a daisy, and a UFO. Below the windows are six fabric cactuses standing in two light blue planters full of white-painted gravel.

Black and white. Four people, one man and three women, are standing or walking in the front garden of Duck Island Cottage in St James's Park. It is a Swiss chalet-style cottage with two small buildings connected by a covered walkway that crosses a bridge, with tiled roofs, decorated gables, several small spires, and a tall white chimney stack topped with what looks like a small bird house. Seen in colour, it looks somewhat like a gingerbread cottage. It is often topped off by a grey heron enjoying the view over the lake behind the cottage.

A young woman is working in a stall at the Christmas Market in Trafalgar Square that sells framed and unframed prints. Many of them are cute, such as the Snoopy one; others feature film stars or pop singers, such as Audrey Hepburn and Taylor Swift. One of them features a grumpy-looking cat with the caption, "Moody", that is glaring out at the viewer. Much like the way the young woman is glaring at me. Oops!

Black and white. In Brick Lane Market, a woman and a man, on the far right of the picture, are walking to the left from behind one of the stalls, past a wall with three pieces of street art. The piece on the left and right are almost unrecognisable but probably represent monsters of some kind. The one in the middle resembles a bald-headed man with a long droopy pointed nose that reaches down past a mouth with only two teeth. His eyes both point outwards. The effect is of a a person who is exasperated by being photobombed while having his picture taken by me.

On the upper level outside the Royal Festival Hall on London's South Bank, a large number of graduates have gathered after the end of their graduation ceremony inside one of the theatres. They are drinking and chatting, comparing their future careers. They are wearing black gowns and mortar board hats, each with a maroon-coloured sash over their shoulders. We are looking at a row of seven of them, seen from behind, as they have their photo taken.

A man is working behind the counter of a craft stall at the Christmas Market at London's Trafalgar Square. He has a grey goatee beard and a small wisp of dark hair looking somewhat like a spider, or perhaps a small hairy Vesuvius on his shaved head. He looks sad as he serves a man and a woman while others look at the goods on his stall. As well as fridge magnets and souvenirs, the main thing he's offering are leather-bound journals in three sizes, with some kind of decorative metalwork on the covers, some of which contains masks, faces, skeletal hands, anchors, ampersands, and elephants, along with many more abstract designs.

A man is sitting at an al fresco dining table outside a San Carlo Italian cicchetti restaurant in central London. The window behind him is full of seafood and wine with dried leaves, hanging fruit, and eleven lit lightbulbs above. Cicchetti is more or less the Italian version of tapas, and is usually served on small plates. Perhaps he's having a dolce, or dessert.

Black and white. A man and a woman are walking towards the Tate Modern art gallery. It's a very tall brick-built former power station. There is a wide entrance with the words, "Tate Modern - Free and open to all" above it. High up, near the top of the picture is a balcony with a chest-height metal railing where eleven people are looking out at the view. One is currently looking at his phone, possibly researching St Paul's Cathedral which is almost opposite, across the River Thames.
