@jcrabapple Always happy to hear people express this opinion. If someone says they don't like it I immediately think that they have no soul.
"AI's not the enemy, it's the key" - this is proof, if it were needed, that there's no substitute for human creativity. It is execrable, an abomination, one of the worst songs you will ever hear. I will be cringing for days. (Even if the video itself has some technical merit)
Please give it a thumbs down.

@taylor it's dreadful. Don't use it heavily, but have been quite unimpressed. It seems to struggle with permissions issues. People with document/folder access lose access for no reason. Kinda .. the main thing it should do.
@ZackPolanski is it because it's a dead end? https://pa.media/blogs/fact-check/fact-check-the-epstein-files-include-limited-mentions-of-uk-party-leaders/ Mentioned indirectly by Bannon, no evidence they ever met or had direct contact.
There's plenty to be critical of with Farage, but there's no need to attempt baseless smears, it doesn't move any cause forward, just creates noise.
@derthomas @HailsandAles triggered. My brother spent that year listening to this, NWA's Efil4Zaggin, and REM's Out Of Time, while I was trying to get on with my little metal journeys. Please let the metal win!!
@HailsandAles so hard. Have to go with Paradise Lost, Gothic.
@HailsandAles hell of a year.
Paradise Lost: Gothic
Morbid Angel: Blessed Are The Sick
Entombed: Clandestine
Cathedral: Forest of Equilibrium
Carcass: Necroticism - Descanting The Insalubrious
Sepultura: Arise
@HailsandAles that was fun! I had to run it myself to see who I'd crown. Unfortunately my bracket creator reordered the second round, which meant the "real" final happened in the quarters, Carcass vs Entombed went right to the wire. But I think the best team won in the end.
@jcrabapple ooh so I guess technically you could argue that Anthrax have a Grammy now too, that completes the Big Four!
@HailsandAles I thought that "I Don't Care" was embarrassingly bad so will probably just listen to the Ride The Lightning cover and walk away LOL
@bruces other stories were quoting 1500 people laid off (e.g. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/technology/tech-news/meta-vr-exec-opens-up-after-ceo-mark-zuckerberg-cuts-his-dream-teams-budget-and-laid-off-1000-employees-can-tell-you-personally-that-we/articleshow/126962103.cms ) which would make that $ burn amount make more sense...
@StefanHabel how have I only seen 17 of them!? I thought I was doing much better :/
Congratulations to the #VFX teams behind this year's Oscar Nominated films! Avatar, F1, Jurassic World Rebirth, The Lost Bus, and Sinners. Great work all round!
@Drwave I've felt that privilege too, walking around strange cities is one of my favorite things, and ordinarily don't have to think twice about doing it. Though I did get mugged in Amsterdam one time !!
@Kitty have you watched the music video for Glenwood? Oof. ALL the feels.
Look, Jeff Atwood, it is difficult to take you seriously when you write authoritatively on a subject you clearly don’t understand.
GDPR doesn’t mandate cookie notices.
Cookie notices are *malicious compliance* by the surveillance-driven adtech industry.
If you’re not tracking people, you do not need a cookie notice, period.
If you’re only using first-party cookies for functional reasons, you do not need a cookie notice, period.
If you’re using third-party cookies to track people – i.e., if you’re sharing their data with others – then *you must have their consent to do so*. Because, otherwise, you are violating their privacy. Even then, the law doesn’t mandate a cookie notice.
How would you conform to EU law without a cookie notice if your aim wasn’t malicious compliance?
You would not track people by default and you would make it so they have to go your site’s settings to turn on third-party tracking if, for some inexplicable reason, they wanted that “feature”.
Boom!
No cookie notice necessary.
What’s that?
But that would destroy your business because your business is founded on the fundamental mechanic of violating people’s privacy?
Good.
Your business doesn’t deserve to exist.
Because the real bullshit here isn’t EU legislation that protects the human right to privacy, it’s the toxic Silicon Valley/Big Tech business model of farming people for data that violates everyone’s privacy and opens the door to technofascism.
@HailsandAles Fair, I don't think we could have had St Anger without Fire and Wheels.
@virtualbri I liked it in the early days, when you could make the blue wibbly thing you'd done green. Then next time do a purple one. Then orange. Got harder when we ran out of new colours to use.
