A Navy Grog in the best one I’ve ever had, made by Garret Richard in the Slowly Shirley days.
He combined the Donn Beach at Victor Bergeron styles meaning a split of honey syrup and pimento dram, and used a split of El Dorado 8, Denizen Merchant’s Reserve, and Appleton 12.
Use the original recipe as a template with those ingredients and you’ll come close.

Great wineries/distilleries/ breweries just up the hill from SLO in Paso Robles and adjacent towns of Templeton and Atascadero are quaint. Morro Bay is a lovely seaside visit, too.
