@emenel @sean_ae @tsrono @trashpandaqc @Glubhorn9 interesting, I thought the neuro research over the past decade demonstrated pretty convincingly that human actions don't require interiority (or in other words, that the cognitive processes we think are "behind" our acts aren't really a cause as such).

Neurobiology of decision making, etc. (not the Fell/Lazar album :) )

I guess also that I might be interpreting "interiority" wrongly.

@Glubhorn9 yeah absolutely, for now that makes sense. I still have hopes for that.

But I brought up UBI and funding it with AI's profits because at some point in the thread we were discussing whether values were inextricable from technologies. My example was intentionally simplistic because it's an illustration of how values can evolve, wrt tech and its uses. I think it's a good idea to imagine what we might do once (ok, "if") regulating effectively becomes impractical.

@emenel @c_reider freaked me out. Now I'm sensitive to 1-3khz or so. Don't use headphones for a while, if you can avoid.

@c_reider I had smth v similar a couple months ago. It's still not cleared up. Can't pop it! If I try to pop it, I lose almost all lower mids perception.

@Cognessence @changterhune ugh. Family mob mentality, nothing worse. This "where's the money then?" BS is so triggering, especially because those people probably haven't spent a penny on music (directly) in decades.
