Absolutely crazy...
#composer people: Can anyone help with conflict/replaces between a 'full' and a 'lite' package? https://github.com/giggsey/libphonenumber-for-php-lite/pull/53#issuecomment-2046680980
@ramsey @heiglandreas Update: Moved about half the domains so far to Gandi, relatively smooth sailing. Thanks for the recommendation
@coderbyheart Don't they force you to use their DNS servers?
@heiglandreas Thanks, will take a look. Briefly looking at their corporate offering mentions HTTP forwarding. Do you know if they offer the user access for "normal" accounts? We only have about 100 domains, and don't see ourselves as corporate scale.
Does anyone have recommendations for a #domain #registrar that:
- supports corporate accounts (multiple people managing an organisation's domains)
- allows custom DNS servers
- offers DNS zone hosting for domains
- allows for HTTP forwarding without involving a third party service
We used to use Google Cloud Domains, as it handled org permissions and existing billing, but it's been killed.
Would appreciate any boosts/sharing to get a wider pool of answers.
@neil I'd be happy in Suffolk with just a drop of rain. Instead, we've had two nights where the mains water has broken.
Maintaining the project isn't without problems.
Since I mirror Google's versioning, the latest major version has been around since 2017. #PHP has changed a lot since then.
I still support (and test against) #PHP 5.3, all the way up to #PHP 8.2, running #phpunit against 12 PHP versions.
Some headway was made recently, creating a libphonenumber-for-php-lite, which only supports 8.0 and above, but the main library will probably continue to support 5.3 until #libphonenumber v9.

Absolutely amazing that an open source library I needed for work has turned into this.
I submitted a bug fix to an inactive project back in 2013, before forking it and bringing it up to date.
I had even used the Java version of the library in 2010, calling a Java program via shell from a PHP browser. Long before the PHP version existed.
