@arstechnica the Internet is not suited to regulation at state borders. How is this to work and who is responsible? If a state decides residents should not have access to TruthSocial, does that state somehow work with ISPs serving the state block the service or is TruthSocial responsible for not allowing residents to use the service? I keep wondering how this type of restriction is supposed to work.

Lost are the precipitating events - all injustices, who took what action or delayed, and whether the actions and criticisms of leaders are hypocritical.

I just learned that Bill Atkinson has died. Mr Atkinson was a great digital pioneer. To me his most creative work was HyperCard - the first software that made me think anyone really could create anything. My favorite software of all time.

After listening to the Ed Secretary complaining about the liberal bias of Harvard, I wondered what information is used in hiring. When I worked in higher education, we were told we could not ask a candidate if he or she had kids. I can’t imagine asking about party affiliation or voting preferences. What a candidate volunteered was up to them.
The comparison of an invasion to two kids fighting after school is a good example of Trump’s simplistic thinking. Perhaps, it was intended for those unwilling to identify the aggressor, the motives of those involved, and commitments this country made to Ukraine.
