I think you're right. I think it's too late for hacktivism. We are past that now.

@vfrmedia @requiem I think that's a fair assessment of a particular type of group from that era. Those groups (like anonymous) were low effort/talent script kiddies with 4chan connections.

But I believe there were other, smaller groups (some going all the way back to the 90's) of talented passionate people who are willing to break laws to fight for people.

Not sure about that, having been in the industry, and with a gov entity no less, it seems that a lot of gov orgs have terrible sec.

Sure, places like the pentagon etc are tough, but there are tons of other small but crucial departments with vulns galore.

Admittedly this is anecdotal so I could be totally wrong.

Growing up my relationship with my dad sucked. At the age of 20 I couldn't imagine a world where I would ever want to be around him.

But people can change. He's a totally different man. He's caring and compassionate, he treats me with respect, and he opens up to me about what's going on in my life.

I can't express how grateful I am to have him in my life now.

Don't ever assume that it's too late to repair a relationship, you might be surprised.

What pissed me off the most was the way they spun that murder with a headline like

"Democrat who voted to repeal benefits for illegal aliens murdered"

Then mentioned that the murderer had No kings flyers in their car, to imply the violence came from the left.

That insanely misleading. It was a large spending bill with that provision, and the lawmaker said she didn't like it but the bill had to pass.

It's a dishonor that lawmaker who died.
