Really glad I stocked up on M5StampS3 embedded CPUs for IoT devices. The vendor has a big banner about new tariffs: https://m5stack.com/. I can't justify paying $75 extra for a $7.50 item.

Yesterday a bunch of items in my Amazon "wish list" increased in price. (The biggest was $21 increased to $44.) Today? Many of the items are "Currently unavailable."

Wow. I have a list of items at Amazon in my "wish list". Not that I plan to buy them, but I want to watch how prices change. Some of the items just increased in price by nearly 50%. And some of the "guaranteed delivery" dates increased to a month.

Fortunately, my RAID finished after 3.5 hours with no problems.

Ugh... One of my raids had a bad disk. So I replaced the disk. It recovered, but decided that it needs to reboot and run e2fsk. At best, this will take hours. Fortunately, it only impacts me, and not my users, clients, or anyone else.

OMG, this is huge news, incredible news, news that shows you really can teach an old dog new tricks! As of March 31, ARIN and the other RIRs turned off "ftp://"! Now you need to use "https://" to retrieve files from them.
